Serious Creatures is a love letter to monster movies, blockbusters, special effects and coming of age stories. It has the decades long scope of works like Goodfellas and Boogie Nights but also the in-over-his-head working kid charm of Almost Famous or...Doogie Howser, I guess?

Issues 1-6 comprise the first of two volumes which will tell the complete saga of Bobby Feckle, his mentor Jack Barber, their rival Grady Miller, Bobby's big sister Laney, Nancy the scream-queen, Simulation Jim or the Jimulator, the stuntman who practices ballet and all the masks and monsters each of them make for themselves and each other.

Each issue is full color, drawn and written by me, at least 24 pages long and will make you happy to be alive for such a time in comics!

The subscription also saves you some cash: Each issue usually costs $ 5 bucks plus $3 bucks for shipping which will give you a grand sum of $ 48 bucks if you buy each issue one by one. So, for having faith in me that this book's gonna rock and buying all the books at once upfront, it will only cost you $44 bucks AND I will mail each issue with a small ink drawing (like the ones I've done with Lumen in the past.

The issues will come out monthly (ish) issue one will be released in September.
